The hotel is situated in central Khon Kaen providing plenty of food alternatives, accessible nearby markets and transport options. The hotel is quite big, however has been around for a long time and is somewhat outdated. The staff were great and welcoming. Whenever we walked by daily, the gentleman’s at the lobby entrance would assist in opening the door and greeting each guest. They were extremely attentive. The house keepers were also lovely when we had cross paths. They would say hello and provide us with new towels and toiletries when we needed (on the days we did not wish for our room to be cleaned). There is also a swimming pool close to the gym that is accessible. It did appear dirty at first but once you get close to it, it was just from the pool tiles. The gym was okay. Extremely outdated however, the gym had the basic gym equipment for working out which was great. On the second last day I notice they had installed a new treadmill that was a lot better and could be the start of them fixing it. The hotel is close to a few days markets and a night market. Around the corners are 7/11 stores and about a 5 minute walk there is also a coin laundry that was clean and affordable. The rooms also have air conditioners that work great! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel. As a suggestion to the hotel, a renovation would make this hotel and experience that extra bit better.

A grand old hotel, more than a bed in a room like many modern hotels. This one has character. A little frayed around the edges, sure. Carpeted hallways, decorations, large airy lobby with attentive staff / doormen. Staff were great. And plenty of them. Facilities all worked well - water pressure, hot water, air-conditioner, lighting. Good soundproofing, did not hear other guests other than a couple of muffled door closings. The Goi Jub noodles at the street-food place across the street were amazing - bonus.

As mentioned by many reviews, the hotel is getting old. But it is still well maintained in my opinion. It exudes an atmosphere of outdated luxury, but that's what I like about it. The staff is really very attentive. Breakfast absolutely sufficient for the price paid. Water pressure excellent on the 9th floor. My room was very clean, even some of the "hidden places" were clean, which is quite unusual in Thailand, you know. A bit scary parking lot :)

The hotel is very elegant and stylish. Room is spacious and comfortable bed. Good gym and large swimming pool although the pool area could do with an upgrade. Close proximity to bars and restaurants. We loved the 80's style.

Rod

Good location, easy to find food, and beverage. Near shopping center and fresh market. Breakfast, not too many menus, the eggs station too slow, less staff to handle orders. Room, clean and good view.
